I got all three at the same time, so I was able to take them in order, and I found 2 to be pretty good, but when I go back to a game in that series, it's almost always 3. 2 certainly had its charms, but IMO 1 is the best environment-wise, and 3 is the best play-wise. So I guess my preferences go: 3, 1, 2.

There were certainly many humorous touches in the graphic design, animations and sound design in the game yes. Some, like this one, referenced humorous tropes, in this case Bela Lugosi’s famous Dracula. Overall the feeling of the game was more serious and “darker” than in Heroes of Might and Magic 1.

The water elemental is the third-level creature of the Conflux faction in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade. It can be recruited from the Altar of Water. The water elemental can be upgraded to the ice elemental. Water Magic animates the Water Elemental. These creatures are immune to Mind, Ice Ray and Frost Ring spells, but take double damage from Fire Wall, Inferno, Fireball I really like Kings Bounty! The Verdict. It is hard to recommend this game. If you played Heroes of Might and Magic III, and you liked it, 15 years ago when it first came out, you might get a bit of nostalgia from this release. The iOS version is certainly worth a look, especially if you have the disk space, cash, and enthusiasm for it.

I prefer 800x600 myself. I go for 1180x644 myself because it both looks like the original gameplay and also benefits from the GUI improvements of HD mod. HoMM III is even better, the difference between II and III is not as much as between I and II. The AI is very primitive in HoMM 1.
